Playing in the snow...

My dad tried to take everyone out to play in the snow on New Years Day.
Well, almost everyone - Mylie and I stayed home with my mom and nephew, Jayden.

They decided to try out a sledding spot past Idaho City. The roads were horrible on the way up and once they turned off to head towards their sledding spot - they kept getting stuck. Dan said that it's partly because Dad can't pass a person who might be stuck without stopping to ask if they need any help. I say that it's always an adventure when going somewhere with Dad. (LOVE YOU DAD!!!) So after stopping to check on the 1st person, they had to dig themselves out of the deep snow to get going again.

"look at all that snow!"

hanging out while Papa helps the other car get going

getting the truck unstuck AGAIN

Teaching Braden how to make a snowball. Take a look at the snowball in Dad's hands in the 2nd picture - it's BROWN from all the dirt on his gloves!

"How's this one?"

Taking a break to make some snow angels on the side of the road

After all that hard work in the snow, they stopped for HOT CHOCOLATE!
