late in posting this - but here's a bit about how we spent our New Years Eve.
Steph and Shane invited us to come to their house this year - they came to our's last year. We got there at about 4. Talked for a while and then had a yummy dinner of bread bowls with cheesy potato soup. Then played a few games, Sequence and Apples to Apples. They were fun and I can't wait to play them again! We talked some more and then headed downstairs to watch movies. The first movie we watched was 'My Super Ex Girlfriend'. The story was cute, but it had too many sex references and scenes in it. So we wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Then we got some snacks and began the next movie 'Superman Returns'. We'd all seen this one before - but it's a good one. In the middle of it we stopped the movie and got out the sparkling cider and paper cups - and celebrated the new year. Then the kids fell asleep and we all decided to just head to bed. Steph and Shane had invited us to use their guest room for the night so that we wouldn't have to drive home with all the crazies on the road.
We woke up the next morning to Shane making waffles. yum. We got ready for the day and decided to go out shopping. First we stopped at Fred Meyer where I picked up some rolls of Christmas wrapping paper at 75% off. We tried to get a toy box for Braden, but they were out. Then we headed to Best Buy were we bought a replacement tri-pod for Nikki's camera. Braden accidentaly broke the one she got for Christmas. Shane looked for some controllers for his game system, but coudn't find what he wanted. Then we headed to RC Willey for some FREE lunch. We enjoyed soda and pizza. After eating, we walked over to their baby department so that Steph could look at their cribs - the last big thing they need for the baby. They found and bought a nice white one that can turn into a daybed and then a full size bed when the baby outgrows the crib. Our last stop was at Craft Warehouse - Steph and I had a 40% off one item coupon and we both bought some fun Autumn Leaves clear alphabet stamps. I also got some paper and an adhesive dispenser that was on sale and a 'love' Heidi Swapp stamp. Fun day.
Steph and Shane headed home - and we were off to Mom & Dad's house for the rest of the day. Steph and Clinton brought over Taco salad stuff for dinner and then everyone watched the Fiesta Bowl - where BSU won! I cheated and scrapbooked a bit while we were there too :) Got 4 cute Valentine's day cards made.
