Catching up...

been kinda down in the dumps and grumpy lately - not fun I tell ya. For me, or Bob or Braden...or anyone around me. Yikes.

Anyway - here's a fun page I made last week with June's 12x12 IMCK Fanciful kit before leaving to go camping. I couldn't come up with a title - so Bob helped me out a bit and came up with this. Thanks Honey!
We left to go camping at Rattlesnake campground (just past Crouch, ID) on Thursday afternoon. Stopped at Walmart to grab batteries and water and as Bob came back to the car, he noticed that we had a tire kinda low. As luck would have it, every Walmart (I think) has a tire center, so we drove around to it and waited around for an hour while they fixed it - so fun. Not. At least we caught it there and not halfway up the mountain I guess.
The rest of our trip there was pretty uneventful. Passed through a bit of construction on our way through, but that's to be expected anywhere you travel in Idaho. {Rolling eyes}
The camping trip was a family reunion for my Dad's side of the family - so we had the entire campground reserved. Very nice. I love that there are individual campsites for each family and then a larger area where the families can congregate if they decide to or feel like it. I definitely didn't feel like it some of the time...
Mom, Dad, Savanah, Grandma, and Grandpa were already there when we arrived and shortly before dinner, Blair's family got there. We had a quiet evening and went to bed fairly early. Friday morning was just us as well, so we sat around chatting and watching Braden and Savanah get really dirty. Lynae's family arrived just before lunch and after lunch, almost all of us took naps - it felt so nice to be able to just relax. Kim and Thane's families and Nikki and Dan and Michaela came just before dinner. After dinner we left to go see a play at the Starlight Mountain Theater. The play that night was Pirates of Penzance...Goes West. Very cute and a fun change from sitting around at camp.
Saturday morning came too early. Some of the families went on drives, some went shooting, and some hung around. We hung around. Bob and I took Braden and Savanah to play in the creek by our campground. The water was VERY cold, so they didn't go in very far, but it was nice to be able to have water to play in during the heat of the day.
Sunday morning we had breakfast and then started packing up to leave. It was Bob's Birthday, so I had Mom and Dad and family stay around for lunch to have a little birthday celebration. Mom and Dad helped me buy a new tent and I bought him (and me) new camping chairs for his birthday - so he already had those gifts. I brought up one gift bag with 2 new movies and a bag thing for his car to put his cell phone and sunglasses in. Nikki brought a gift for him as well, a movie and a cool ball/frisbee toy. We had watermelon for dessert and then finished packing up.
We made it home at about 4:30, Sunday afternoon. Just in time to relax some more before heading to bed (after we unpacked and took some long showers!).
