Blessing

Warning: post heavy with cute pictures!

The Princess was practically perfect on her blessing day. She slept almost 8 straight hours the night before and woke up happy and smiling. We arrived to church about 20 minutes early with the rest of the family trickling in until church started.

Daddy gave the Princess a beautiful blessing and Mommy cried - lots! The people that Daddy invited to be in the circle were: Shane Ricks, Brendon Johnson (papa), Aldon Johnson (great-grandpa), Daniel Johnson, Clinton Wilcox, Aaron Irish (in our ward - no relation), and John Olson (friend in the ward).
Daddy noticed that the Princess had opened her eyes just as he started the blessing and that they were open when he ended the blessing. John told daddy later, that the Princess had her eyes open the entire time! She must have been intently listening to all the wonderful blessings she was being given! She never made a peep and went right to sleep afterward. Such a good baby!

We stayed for the whole church block and with all these visitors we almost doubled the amount of members in attendance in Sunday School and Relief Society and Elders Quorum. It was fun to have everyone there, but we did miss all of our family members out of town that couldn't make it.

After church, everyone headed over to our house where we whipped up a pile of sandwiches for a quick lunch. There was a lot of chatting and the kids had a great time running around the house (inside and outside). Then we celebrated the blessing with some yummy ice cream sundaes.

Her dress was purchased almost 2 years ago at a cute little Spanish shop in Nampa, called Mami's European Baby. It is a light off white with pink ribbon bows at the shoulders and the ends of the sleeves. She had a matching pink bow on her head, off white tights and off white shoes.

Oh my goodness! I finally found your blog! So I totally bawled when Kailey was blessed. John said something about her knowing how much I loved her and to bless with a special friendship through out our lives, it was beautiful! I love princess's!
