This little boy is growing up right before my eyes. And although, everyday, I want him to "grow up" - today I was unprepared for him actually doing so.This morning, for the first time ever, he got dressed all by himself. While I was showering, he went into his room, picked out some clothes and changed with out being asked once. He even put one of his shoes on by himself.
Then we went to the Dr. where Braden got the Flu Mist vaccine. He was brave and didn't give our nurse any grief.
Tonight, he and Daddy painted a paint-by-number Christmas picture that we'd picked up earlier in the day. When they were done painting, Braden cleaned up the mess all by himself and even thought to use a baby wipe to clean up the paint that had been spilled onto the table.
Throughout the day, he's been sweet and gentle with Mylie. Talking to her when she fusses and finding her "pinky" when she looses it.
He told me tonight that he thought that he'd start doing things by himself so that I don't have to be so grumpy with him anymore. I hugged him and then cried. I love this kid!

That's so sweet. It's amazing how they think these things up all by themselves.
