Dentist Visit

Braden got to visit the dentist last week for a cleaning. He loves going to the dentist and thinks that the 6-month wait until the next appointment is way too long. He got a clean bill of dental health and a bag full of new dental supplies - toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, sand timer, mouthwash, and red dye tablets. He also got to pick a prize for being such a good patient. He chose a pinwheel and put it out in our front yard the moment we got home.
At his next visit, he'll get his routine cleaning and also have a little piece of skin snipped that is currently connecting the inside of his top lip to his top gums.

I've been going to this same dental office since I was 4 years old. At some point, the original dentist (Dr. Williams) retired and sold the practice to our current dentist (Dr. Widdison). Dr. Widdison is awesome and always makes me feel great despite my horrible teeth. He told me once that he was suprised that Braden loves coming there so much because I'd had such yucky experiences there. I replied that I wanted Braden to have good experiences as early as possible, so that he'd continue going to the dentist regularly to avoid the problems that I have.
We also don't have dental insurance, so the Dr. is always doing nice things to help us afford to go there. I really appreciate Drs that make me feel like a valued patient!
