Braden requested a surfing themed party this year. We bought a lot of fun beach-y/Hawaiian themed decor and decorated the back of the house and my parent's trailer with it.
The kids played in the water - a little pool and a misting fan while we set up all the yummy food and everyone gathered for the party.
Some of the fun food. We had lots of fruit and veggies in these little cups, 3 kinds of chips, mini burgers, mini hotdogs, beans, and BLUE koolaid. (Thanks to Stephanie and Jennifer for tracking down some mini hamburger buns for us! Who knew they'd be so hard to find?)
After dinner, Braden got to open his huge pile of gifts! He loved it all. Thanks everyone!
Then it was time for the CAKE! Bob did Braden's cake again this year - in the shape of a surfboard (floating upside down in water). Braden picked the cake flavor (German Chocolate) and the frosting colors. The 7 candles ran down the middle and Braden's initials are at the top.
Braden asked his Uncle Steven to bring his ukulele to the party so that he could play some fun songs for us all. Thanks Steven - he did a wonderful job!
