I'm 30!

It was a great birthday! And as birthdays go around here it was spread out over almost 2 weeks. Lots of fun!

The 1st Birthday celebration was at my parent's 2nd Sunday dinner in September. We also celebrated my brother-in-law, Clinton's birthday then too. I got to pick part of the dessert and chose Dryer's Strawberry Yogurt Ice Cream. YUM! I love it because I think it tastes exactly like TCBY's strawberry frozen yogurt.

My parents gave me 1/2 of their gift that night, a new cute bag for taking to the hospital when I have the baby. My sister, Stephanie, gave me a cute church outfit for baby boy and my sister-in-law, Michaela, gave me an outfit and some fun toys for baby boy.

A few days before my birthday, I got a card in the mail from Bob's dad and his wife. It included some birthday money - which is always appreciated!

The Friday night before my birthday, my dad was nice enough to watch Braden and Mylie for us while Bob took me out on a birthday date. We had dinner at Smoky Mountain Pizza. We had yummy garlic cheese bread and then our own personal pizzas. I got a chicken/bacon pizza with garlic sauce and Bob had an interesting concoction of 1/2 garlic sauce and 1/2 pesto sauce with meatballs and broccoli as his toppings. Funny guy!

On my actual birthday, the 19th of September, Bob gave me perfume that I've been hoping for - for a long time. It's the perfume that I wore when we were newlyweds and it's smell brings back great memories and makes me feel young and cute again. At church, that day, I got sung to and then I was given a card and a tile with the YW theme for this year on it in vinyl. My advisor gave me some homemade jam. Then I had to teach my beehive lesson, but the girls were great and it went pretty well.

After Church, we headed to Bob's mom's apartment for our Irish 3rd Sunday dinner. She made some yummy enchiladas, taco soup, and Spanish rice for dinner. For dessert, Bob made me a red velvet bundt cake with real cream cheese frosting. It was delicious! Bob's mom gave me a bag full of fun goodies, printed tissues, cards, a notebook, and a magnet list pad. Bob's sister, Stephanie, gave me a nice wall hanging. Before we left for the evening, I was given 2 birthday balloons and everyone got a goody bag of yummy candy.

The Saturday after my birthday, my mom and I got to spend the day together! This is the 2nd year that we have done this, and I think I'm going to look forward to this fun day together every year. We started the day with appointments for a pedicure for me and a manicure for mom. I usually go with very dark (almost black) polishes on my toes, but decided to go with FUN this time and chose a hot pink! It was very relaxing and felt amazing. We then stopped at Red Robin for lunch to get my free birthday burger. It was great. We ran over to the Moppet Toggs sale afterwards to see what was left of their last day 1/2 price sale. We found quite a few great things for my baby boy and a couple of things for Mylie. Our last fun stop of the day was to the Holiday House Boutique. Lots of fun things there, but most of them were way out of our budget. I picked up 3 new hair clips for Mylie and mom bought Bob a chocolate/pumpkin whoopie pie to thank him for letting us spend the day together.

The next day, Sunday, I got one last birthday gift. My great visiting teacher brought over a loaf of yummy banana bread and a sweet card.

Everyone was so great to me and I felt very loved! Thanks to all!
