Thanksgiving(s)

Everyone asks if we were able to have "Thanksgiving" because on Thanksgiving Day we were in the hospital bringing little Clark into the world. The answer is YES. We had several and they were all pretty tasty.

Our first Thanksgiving this year was Wednesday night - the day before Thanksgiving. We cooked a turkey breast instead of a whole turkey. We also had real mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, yams, rolls, an apple pie and a pumpkin cheesecake (my fav.)! We also had red ice cubes (cran-raspberry juice) in Fresca to drink - a Johnson tradition.

At the hospital, my mom and Bob were able to have a turkey dinner from the cafeteria while I was in labor and I had one for dinner after Clark was born. It was pretty good.

Then Sunday night we had our annual Johnson family Thanksgiving where my siblings and their families all came. This year we chose to have a Chinese Thanksgiving. LOL. (Last year we had a Fondue night.) Basically we each made a chinese food dish and brought it to share. I made Broccoli Beef, Stephanie & Clinton made Eggrolls and Potstickers, and Dan and Michaela made Teriyaki Chicken. Mom and Dad made Orange Chicken and Chow Mein (from Panda Express), Mongolian Beef, Fried Rice, Steamed Rice, and Pork & Seeds.
