Braden's class had a money unit last month and got to earn (and loose) pretend money for things all month long. They ended the unit with a celebration on Wednesday. Those with at least $9 got to buy a movie ticket to watch Tangled that afternoon. If they had extra money, they had the opportunity to purchase drinks and snacks to enjoy during the movie.
Today, the kids that still had extra money to spend, got to participate in an auction for things that students/parents donated. Braden ended up with the 2nd most money in the class and came home with all of this today:
Rootbeer $10
Pink Peace & Love bag $4 - just gave this to me saying that it's for Mom's day! So sweet!

Re-usable water bottle $2
bag of popcorn $1
bag of pixie sticks $1.50
pencil shaped notebook $1
magnifying glass $2
ring pop $0.25
Last night he told me about this BIG bottle of RootBeer that he just HAD to win - and, of course, he did! He told me that he bid $10 just to get it :) This kid loves his rootbeer!
One LUCKY kid!
