31

I turned 31 this week.  Pretty uneventful, but wonderful.
The 1st birthday celebration was at my parent's house Saturday night combined with celebrating my brother-in-law, Clinton's birthday too.  We had Mexican food and Cheesecake for dessert (Skor cake for Clinton). Love.  My parents had given me most of my gift earlier ($$ to spend at Ikea) and then the rest of my gift is going with my mom next month to get mani/pedis.  I. cannot. wait.  Dan and Kayla gave me a much needed black framed corkboard and push pins (I've been wanting to turn our bedroom hallway wall into a communication wall).  Steph and Clinton gave me cash and that along with some cash that I got in the mail from my Father-in-Law I ordered 8 of the plates in the picture above.  They came yesterday and they are gorgeous!  We'll still use our white Corelleware mostly, but these add a great pop of fun color to our table settings now.
Sunday, we had dinner with Bob's sister and her family.  She had given me a gift earlier (a cute little jar & some goodies from Bath & Body Works) but brought some amazing smelling lotion and some yummy cupcakes.  We just love spending time with them!  Their oldest daughter was in charge of our FHE lesson and did a great job.
Monday was my actual birthday and I spent most of the day preparing for my 1st time teaching preschool the next day.  When Bob got home from work, we took the kiddos over to my parents house and went on a date!  While we were driving to dinner, he gave me a gift card to Anthropologie (my favorite window shopping store!).  We had dinner at Panda Express (had to make it a quick dinner cause we were seeing an early-ish movie).  We got to see I Don't Know How She Does It and were the only ones in the theater!  The movie was great, but having the theater to ourselves might just have been the best gift ever!  I definitely recommend going to the theater on Monday nights now.  (so much for regular FHE anymore... hahaha.)

Just caught up on your blog! Love it, that is priceless about Mylie missing Braden and the snuggle picture. Loved your testimony and Braden's baptism photos! Youre amazing!
