Favorites Friday

Paper Ruffles are probably the cutest new scrapbooking technique I've seen in a long time! Check out the awesome tutorial right here.

My new favorite scent at Bath & Body Works - Butterfly Flower. So soft and pretty.

Check out these 2 cute projects being offered at my local scrapbook store, Paper Cottage. They're being taught by the most creative lady - and she's in my ward! Aren't they adorable??!

Scrapbooking

I found some time last night to scrapbook again and was able to get *5* 2-page layouts done! Thanks to the help of my sisters-in-law, Jennifer and Stephanie. We did a page swap in November, (I think) and I was able to find pictures to go with all of the pages we'd created :)

Some of my favorite products right now are Cosmo Cricket papers and Doodlebug Design Loopy Lou letter stickers. I keep several sheets of white, brown and black on hand.

Scrapbooking again!

These first 3 layouts were created with Basic Grey's Bittersweet line of patterned paper and stickers. I also added some Bazzill white cardstock (orange peel texture-a fav. staple of mine), SU chocolate chip ink, and SU grosgrain ribbon. I also use layout sketches from pagemaps.com.

I think this one is my favorite! I just love how it turned out.

The journaling here tells how Mylie loves to cuddle with soft things to fall asleep.
One day, during 'tummy time' Braden was trying to teach Mylie how to lift her head up. It was absolutely adorable.

These were from a page swap I did with my sister-in-laws, Jennifer and Stephanie. Stephanie designed the page. I added the photos and my "creative" title. The photos were from Christmas 2006 - making gingerbread houses with the Johnson family.

Update

Our Princess will be 11 weeks old in just a few hours! Look at this little cutie: She's becoming very vocal in her awake hours. Lots of 'gooo's and 'coooo's. So fun! She really had a lot to say today while she sat on Daddy's lap and watched Daddy and Big Brother play a game on the computer. Pretty exciting stuff! It's so funny how you forget ALL the things that go along with having a newborn - like how The Princess's pooping habbits are now a topic of daily conversation around her. HeHeHE - gotta love it!

And - I've been canning chunky applesauce today. I got a whole 7 jars today and hope to get about that many tomorrow. It's amazing how long it takes when you have a nursing newborn and a five year old doing homeschool. The end result is pretty great looking though and the feeling of actually accomplishing something today is overwhelming.

In other news, Bob and I just re-launched a scrapbooking website that we now have ownership of. Feel free to visit anytime at www.justinspireme.com and say hi!
My work has started it's winter busy season and I'm back to typing lots and lots of sports schedules in the evenings for them. And Bob will be out of town this weekend attending an Athletic Association Conference in Ohio.
Braden just signed up to be on a Bowling Team with some other kids from IDVA and it should start in the next week or 2.

March IMCK kit creations

This picture is from our trip last September to Yellowstone. On the way there we stopped for some shopping and fun in Jackson Hole. We played in the park for a while and Braden decided to make a pretend campfire with some sticks and leaves that he gathered up. He has such an imagination. He was having so much fun that another little boy came over to play too. Cute kids.

These are some of my creations from March's IMCK kit. I just love the fun colors and mix of papers!

October IMCK creations

Loved this IMCK kit! Dannie change the format of the kits so that now they're 3 mini kits in one. This kit featured products from Making Memories, Fancy Pants and My Mind's Eye. For my projects, I created 3 cards and 2 layouts and there is still tons of product left to create several more of each.

IMCK Crop Creations

I got all but one of the challenges done. The last one, a wall hanging which I LOVE, I hope to still get done tomorrow or Sunday.
