Braden decided on a SpongeBob birthday this year. Bob took on the task of decorating his cake and did an awesome job! We celebrated at Mom and Dad Johnson's house because I wasn't up to having tons of people in our little apartment at almost 39 weeks preggo. Braden, suprisingly, requested meatloaf and potatoes for his birthday dinner (such a grown up!). After dinner we went out to the backyard where he opened his gifts. He was very spoiled by everyone! And what a good kid - he gave a very sincere "Thank You" to everyone after he opened each gift - I was so proud of him! Mom and Dad Johnson saved some sparklers and pop-its from the 4th of July and everyone went out to play with them for a while. We sang to Braden and Bob had to re-light the candle 3 times because Braden kept blowing it out too early. Then we ate yummy SpongeBob cake (chocolate) and ice cream. Braden requested to eat the arms.
