Last Night

I got to go to a little girl's night out party. I took the Princess with me and met my sister, Stephanie, at my parent's house and we rode together. The event was a Baby Shower for my friend Elizabeth. Another friend of hers hosted the shower and asked me to come up with a few games for the party. I'm not a big fan of shower games, but I can't complain since she hosted the shower at her house and made most of the food. So I came up with 3 games found all on the internet. The 1st was a poem that gets passed around the room and the person to read the last line won a prize. Then we did a crossword (not one I'd ever do again as it was pretty hard so everyone was concentrating and not talking) and then played bingo as Elizabeth opened her shower gifts. I got a lot of comments that people liked that one. The bingo card was filled with things that *might* be a shower gift. So, as Liz opened the gifts, they looked on the cards to see if those any of the gifts were boxes they could mark. I've been to quite a few showers where the guests just chat amongst themselves while the gifts are being opened, and this game seemed to keep them paying attention and watching to see what would come next.
