Warning - venting post ahead.
Feeling very frustrated today. It started with a sick baby.
- Yes, thrush again - combine that with a runny nose and stuffiness.
- Add to that a husband who's not feeling so wonderful either.
- Spent the entire night last night trying to calm a fussy baby. She finally fell asleep at 6:30am and slept for 4 hours. Braden let me sleep those 4 hours, thank goodness.
- UPS man came to the door just as I was about to get in the shower with a package that I knew needed to be signed for. So I had Braden run to the door, while I ran to the bedroom to get dressed. Luckily he waited, but I looked horrible.
- Trip to Costco was fairly good. Yummy lunch to thank Braden for letting Mommy sleep in. Good deals found in the new coupon book. Mylie was content.
- Stopped at the fabric store to grab some fabric for Braden's Valentine's day pillowcase, had to buy wayyy more fabric than I'd anticipated (due in part to Braden's requests and to the store's current policy) and had to deal with an un-friendly employee.
- At home, Bob was less than thrilled with my dinner choice. Decided to have it anyway and he ended up cooking it.
- Mylie still fussy.
- Embarrassed to admit that we hadn't done any schooling today. I hadn't done any dishes or made any beds either. Did do one load of laundry though.
- Upstairs so that I could get to work typing.
- Bob started his schoolwork for the evening.
- Mylie still fussy before, during and after I fed her.
- Didn't get a whole lot done.
- Braden not willing to entertain himself.
- Bob can't leave his schoolwork to help with the fussy baby while I gave Braden a bath. She fussed on the floor while I washed Braden.
- Held Mylie until she fell asleep. SHE FELL ASLEEP! AND let me put her in her crib. AND stayed asleep.
- Braden decides to watch a movie, Madagascar.
- I finally get some work done.
- Guy calls from the ward to see if we were home taught last month. Felt like I was "putting on my happy face" for the call.
- Happy face didn't leave - baby still sleeping, Braden finishes his movie and finds another quiet activity. Maybe it's not so bad.
Oh, how I wish I knew how we are going to get through the next year and a half while Bob is back in school. I know people are way busier than we are. For the life of me, I just cannot figure out how to juggle homeschooling+demanding baby+housework+working part-time+everything else+.
Don't get me wrong - I'm extremely grateful for my husband who works full-time to provide for us and has a desire for continuing education so that he can provide for us even better.
It's just all so FRUSTRATING!
