Home

We made it back home safely last night at about 8pm.

On our last day in Rexburg, we got up and all 4 adults showered (1 bathroom!) and were dressed and out the door just after 10am. I had spied a new-to-me scrapbook store the day before, so we headed there first. Scrap-A-Doodles had some pretty cute stuff and was quite large for Rexburg. Mom, Nikki and I each picked out a few fun things. While we were there Bob walked around town taking pictures. Next we stopped in at Porters again, so I could get in one last fix before leaving. I just love that place. So much fun stuff in one cool store. After Bob paid for my last purchases there, we headed up to the school. We shopped for a bit in the huge bookstore and had lunch - in the school's cafeteria place - where the bookstore used to be. Braden wanted to see Nikki go to class, so we walked her to her 1st class of the day. Braden checked out the room and seeing kids already in the class, worried that Nikki needed to get in there so that she didn't miss anything. We hugged her and said goodbye.

Back at her apartment we packed up our things, took them down to the car and packed it. We ran over to a cute cupcake shop called The Cocoa Bean and picked up a goodbye cupcake for Nikki (oreo) and one to take home and share (dirty turtle, minty).

The ride home took forever, but luckily we weren't in a hurry. On the way out of town, we had to stop at a convienence store to grab drinks and snacks for the ride home. Then I had to stop at the Army Surplus Warehouse just outside of Idaho Falls in Shelly, to grab some cartons (a case of them actually) of dehydrated hashbrowns for our food storage. Then we stopped in Pocatello for gas and a potty break. Somewhere on the side of the road, we stopped to change Mylie's diaper and make her a bottle. She was grumpy! We stopped in Burley to try and see Trevor's family, but didn't catch them home. We decided it was a good time to grab some dinner and headed to the McDonalds there - requested by Braden. Mylie needed OUT of her carseat and we needed to see her happy face, so we took a car break and ate inside.

We got back on the road and stoped just once more just outside of Boise at a rest area for another potty break. As we got off the freeway in Boise, Mylie had HAD it with her carseat and cried and fussed until we got her in the house and held her for a while.
We spent the rest of the evening unpacking, relaxing and trying to help Mylie recover from her too-many-hours-in-the-carseat trauma.
Thanks Nikki for letting us come and stay with you!!! It was lots of fun!
I forgot to mention in the last post that Mom, Nikki, Mylie and I went to see Bride Wars on Saturday night. It was pretty cute, some wierd unnecessary parts, but rated PG and we laughed a LOT!
