Maine - Day 2

We checked out of our hotel bright and early Sunday morning and drove almost an hour to Sanford, ME to be at 9am church with Bob's mom, aunt, and grandmother.  Bob's mom gave us the biggest hugs when we got to her church building. This is the same ward Bob and his family use to visit when they visited his aunt and grandma when Bob was little. A few people remembered Bob from years earlier, but Bob did not remember any of them.  We stayed for all of Church with her, then checked into our room at the Sanford Inn there to change into warm clothes for heading to the beach.
Our first stop was Subway for lunch and then we headed into Kennebunk.  Bob's mom showed us some of the houses she had lived in there.

Sara-Jo and her sister lived in the bottom left corner apartment of this house and later, Bob's parents lived in the top left corner apartment when they were first married.

This was a house that Sara-Jo lived in with her siblings and parents for a few years.

A fun house that we saw called The Wedding Cake House.  Evidently the man that built it, built it to look like this for his wife.

Just before we left this beach we took turns taking pictures of each other.  A nice man stopped by and offered to take a pic of all three of us.  Me - Bob - Sara Jo

A bank that Sara Jo worked in around the time she married Bob's dad.

Sara Jo says that Bob's dad and she had their first date at this Dairy Queen.  We just had to stop for a Blizzard.

We stopped at another section of the beach where Bob wrote "Relax" and "Bob 'heart' Julee" and took these pics.

Afterwards we headed to Aunt Linda & Uncle David's house for dinner.  Linda is Sara Jo's sister and she has been living with them since she got to Maine last year.  We had dinner there and got to visit with them for a while before heading back to our motel room.
